As we celebrate 50 golden years of Antigua’s Carnival, JCI Antigua is proud to continue the tradition of fostering Caribbean Integration through this galore event, the Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show which is now in its 46th year. It has also been used as a means of fostering unity among our Caribbean Islands, through art, music, drama and cultural expression.This show has played in integral part in our annual summer festival – Carnival.
I urge you to close your eyes, open your minds, envision a stage of Caribbean Royalty “portraying ~ elegance ~ passion ~ excitement ~ vibrancy – Come & experience the essence of Caribbean Synergy". Viewers, this is exactly what you can expect for the 2007 Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show.
The 46th Annual Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show is slated for Friday August 3rd, 2007 at Carnival City 8:00 p.m. We are expecting to host 11 contestants promising a night of “Beauty, Talent, Elegance and Intelligence – presenting Caribbean Royalty. The show is expected to be executed within a shorter time frame.
JCI Antigua is a Non-Profit Organization for young people between the ages of 18- 40. The Organization offers the opportunity for young people to contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing the opportunity for them to develop their leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship, and fellowship necessary to create positive change. The planning and implementation of this project are managed by members of the Organization. Through this project, members are able to enhance their leadership, entrepreneurial and managerial skills.
May I use this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to the government and people of Antigua and Barbuda for their continued support of this project. We wish to also extend our appreciation to the many sponsors and contributors to this event. Special thanks to the Chairman and members of the Carnival Development Committee for affording us the opportunity to be a part of this most important event. We are eternally thankful and we look forward to good continued working relations, as we all have one common goal/vision to make Antigua’s Carnival number one in the region.
To our families, friends, well wishers and visitors, we wish you a fun-filled and crime free Carnival. We invite all of you to take up your vantage point on the night of Friday 3rd August 2007 at Carnival City, where the Queens from the Caribbean will thrill you with their strength, talent, beauty and elegance.
